Hi everyone,
We need to move our Enterprise Manager and B&R servers off server 2016 to server 2022, ive read up on the migration options and think i understand the process of importing the config and pointing back to our DBs. the main question I have is about the correct order.
In the past for upgrades we have always done EM first, and our B&R server pulls its license from EM. If we move EM, will that continue to license the orginal B&R server, or will it temporarily become unlicensed and cause any issues? I aim to do the work on the same day ideally.
I had planned to do the below
1) disable all jobs
2) swing migration of EM 2016 > 2022
3) swing migration of B&R 2016 > 2022
4) check all infrastructure etc...
5) slowly start checking jobs
anyone aware of any gotchas?

Re: swing migration Enterprise manager or VBR first?
Hi SSSSSStorage,
With Enterprise Manager, follow the User Guide here; I believe it would be prudent to re-add the license once migrated to ensure no interruption of licensing (and also ensure that the old server is powered off to avoid potential license conflicts)
Outside of that, seems appropriate, just be sure to follow the User Guide as mentioned above for Enterprise Manager and use the migrate option with Veeam Backup and Replication to migrate to the new server.
