Upgrade to 12.3.2.3617 version
Hello!
I will upgrade a backup infrastructure which contain 1 Enterprise Manager and 2 backup infrastructure in different site. The two backup infrastructure are managed by Enterprise Manager. What is the best way to upgrade all of the backup components to the latest version? Do I have to begint the upgrade process with Enterprise Manager? I I upgraded the Enterprise Manager, can I wait some technical time for example 1-2 day before upgrade the Backup&Replication?
Are there any best practise to upgrade Enterpsie Manager and B&R?
Thanks.

Yes. Enterprise Manager must be upgraded first.
And its ok to wait with upgrading Veeam Backup & Replication server. Just make sure that Enterprise Manager has the highest or same version as managed backup servers.
Best practice: Follow the upgrade/update checklists in our help center. And don‘t forget to run a configuration backup before starting the update. For Enterprise Manager you need to backup the database.
Best,
Fabian

Use build-in tools of the database server application (MSSQL or PostgreSQL).
You can follow the instructions from our KB: https://www.veeam.com/kb1471

The Enterprise Manager Database is MSSQL. Can I still use MSSQL with the latest version of Enterprise Manager?

Hi adam900331,
Yes, MSSQL is still supported. You can check the System Requirements in the User Guide, as well as see the upgrade checklist for Enterprise Manager.

Do I have to stop all of the running backup job in backup infrastructure (and also avoid to start job during upgrade), which managed by Enterprise Manager before upgrade Enterprise Manager?
