Outlook rules in backup?

A customer asked me if (server side) Outlook rules are included in the backup. I was thinking, good question, but unlikely.
But just to be sure? Are they or aren't they? And is this possibly documented somewhere?

Server side rules are stored in a designated folder in Exchange Online and are not protected or recoverable at this point in time I'm afraid
