Folks,
When doing restore of Active Directory objects, Veeam B&R uses LDAP to login to the DC.
If we make LDAPS (Secure LDAP) mandatory within our environment, is that supported by Veeam B&R?
Do we need to make any changes in the backup server?
Kind regards,
PJ

Re: LDAP vs. LDAPS
Hello,
I don't think you need to change anything on the backup server. However, in the Explorer restore wizard, you should select the "Use SSL" checkbox. To do this, you need to have a certificate on the machine where Explorer is running.
Thanks!

Re: LDAP vs. LDAPS
(Thank you Gostev! Any celebrations planned? Will there be cake?
)
Ah, I see. If I choose "Restore objects to...", then I get that dialogue where I can tick "Use SSL".
I have always used the top menu item, "Restore objects to DC.AD.local", where I don't get that dialogue.
Thanks!
PJ
