[V13] hosts file in the appliance

Post by DanielJ »

Today we are dependent on having all names VBR needs to look up in the hosts file. Will we be able to edit the hosts file in the appliance?

Hello Daniel,

You can edit the hosts files by elevating to root and modifying the hosts files at the OS level. UI currently does not have such capability but I've noted your feedback as a feature request. Thank you!

And is that elevation something we can easily do ourselves, or would we have to contact support?

Actually, it appears we did add the hosts file management to the web UI (my bad, sorry!).

So you can export and import it directly in the Host Management console without any elevation.

Navigate to Logs and Services > Host Configuration and search for host file in the list of config files. Export it to a local machine, make the needed arrangements and import it back.
