FR: Display the correct timestamp of the RP used in a Oracle RMAN restore session

Post by iDeNt_5 » 1 person likes this post

Case reference: #07811089

Hi all,

As the Veeam support requested, I came here to open a new FR, since I'd like the VBR console to display the correct timestamp of the RP used in a Oracle RMAN restore session, since as for now the displayed timestamp is always related to the time the operator does the restore (in UTC format) and is not related at all to the selected RP, as you can see in a screenshot of example below:

IMHO this is not a real FR... but is an issue that has to be solved, because if I read in the window "Restore point -> Paramaters" I expect to view the RP related parameters... and not the time when I used it for a restore session.

That could be confusing in case I need to collect some evidences of the restore session done.

Thanks.

Hi Matteo,

Agree, this is a very good proposal for a UX enhancement. I will discuss the request with the engineering team and review the history of the support case to gather more details (however, your description above is already detailed enough). The request has been noted, but I cannot provide any comments or information regarding the ETA.

Thanks!
