Hy!
I use Hyper-V and one of Linux VM shows "Unknown Operating System" in Inventory section under Guest OS pane. What does it mean? I want to create application-aware processing for this VM, but when I configure the AAIP and click on Test now button to test credentials access, I got the following: Failed Collecting guest OS info. Error: Failed to get VM's IP addresses.
How can I resolve to detect the Guest OS?
Thanks.

Re: Unknown Operating System under inventory pane
Hi Adam,
There could be different reasons why you’re not getting the IP address. It could also mean you’re using an unsupported Linux distribution.
Could you please share your case number with me? As mentioned in our forum policy, we are not technical support. All technical issues must be investigated with our customer support team and not within this forum.
Thanks,

Re: Unknown Operating System under inventory pane
you have to install the Hyper-V integration services into the guest OS.
