Hi Team,
I have recently undergone a space full for one of my O365 backup drives, and I have performed Defragmentation and reclaimed the whitespace, but still the drive went full.
I need a valid step to find the restore point size and the mail box or a OneDrive data saved size so that I can see if I am saving the right backup data, and if some points are not needed, I shall delete and reclaim space. This was taken to Veeam support as well, and so far no answer, and they say this is not possible, where my backup is starting to fail.
Need help to find a workaround or a solution to find the data size to verify what the restore point keeps and shall delete the restore point and reclaim space.

Hi Mohammed,
There's no technical possibility to identify the size of a specific restore point, as well as to manually remove a specific restore point from a repository. Instead, you can identify, for example, OneDrive accounts which backups you do not need and remove all backup data for those accounts.

The following are the steps I have performed before raising this query,
1. The space went full, and as the first step, I have removed the users who are not needed in the backup job.
2. Removed the backed data, which resides as the customer no longer needed the data, and did not wait until retention expiration.
3. After data removal, the whitespace has been accumulated, and a report has been taken, along with the defragmentation being done for the jet database reclaimed free space.
4. After a point in time, those spaces were also filled as daily backups were running.
5. Currently, we have no space left, and the data residing in the repository is absolutely needed data.
But the way the backup was taken is like every 5 minutes once which has saved a larger number of restore points a day, henceforth trying to remove the restore point that will provide some free space.
Do we have any way to do that, or any workaround that can be done to compress the backup space?

Hi Mohammed,
Unfortunately, I don't have any workarounds to suggest other than adding more space to your storage. Whereas possible, you can use cloud object storage as a repository (i.e. Azure or AWS).
