Feature Request: Please Support Nutanix Files versions 5.0+

Post by tkonzal »

My client is running Nutanix Files 5.1.1.2 and the current Veeam B&R v12 (and from what I read Version 13) do not support anything over Nutanix Files 5.0, which came out in May of 2024.

The issue is with the Files snapshots that are created for the Veeam backups. They don't clean up after a job and remain. This was not well publicized, and for over a year, I have been removing backup snapshots from the Files environment manually since they don't clean up after backups.

Please continue your commitment to support Nutanix Files and start supporting the current versions. This seems to be a miss on the Veeam product support side of things.

Hello Tony,
My client is running Nutanix Files 5.1.1.2 and the current Veeam B&R v12 (and from what I read Version 13) do not support anything over Nutanix Files 5.0, which came out in May of 2024.
Version 5.1 is actually supported with the latest Veeam B&R v13, we will update system requirements accordingly.
The issue is with the Files snapshots that are created for the Veeam backups. They don't clean up after a job and remain. This was not well publicized, and for over a year, I have been removing backup snapshots from the Files environment manually since they don't clean up after backups.
Do you have a case ID to share? We need debug logs to investigate this issue. Thank you!
