File backup - archive association

Post by mamosorre84 »

Hi all,

we have a VBR server that manages a file share backup, with a local disk repository and compatible S3 archive.

Inside the S3 bucket we found some orphaned files that probably refer to an old instance of that job (there is an ‘archive’ folder and an ‘archive_1’ folder in S3).

The VBR backup tab "Disk (orphaned)" shows us only the path a the S3 bucket.

The question is: is there a way to manually find the backup files association disk/archive? (Who belongs to which?)

Perhaps via PowerShell or by analyzing the files within the repositories.

The goal is to migrate all data to other repositories (from on-premises to cloud) and we want to be sure we don't leave anything behind.

Regards

Marco S.
