Hi
#07840412
I have an issue to add a VBR to VeeamOne in v13. It was working in v12.
Error: "Failed to install Veeam Analytics service. Failed to establish connection between the Veeam ONE server and Veeam Analytics service"
The VBR is on Windows and its v12.3
Support is currently investigating. I just looked into the logfiles on VBR (the Analytics Service logfiles) and I see some errors like this
[WRN]...connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond. **IP-ADDRESS-OF-VEEAMONE-SERVER**]:2805
So this means that the Analytics Service is trying to connect to VeeamOne on Port 2805.
But in helpcenter, the port requirement are: VeeamOne --> VBR TCP/2805
https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/one/u ... tml?ver=13
Has this changed in v13? If yes, I think the docs should be updated. If not, lets wait for support what the issue could be.
Next week, I can test some firewall changes to allow this traffic but it would be good to know if this is necessary to adjust on the firewall.

Re: VeeamOne - VBR network port requirements
Hello,
The ports in v13 has changed indeed yes. It usually takes some time until all the documentation is up to date, we have multiple bugs in the queue for it.
Veeam ONE to the VBR ports have been reduced massively with Veeam Analytics Service, same as from VBR to Veeam ONE.
Can you try opening the 2805 from VBR to VeeamONE as you mentioned?
I hope we can have all the documentation up to date soon.
Thank you

Re: VeeamOne - VBR network port requirements
Hi Jorge
I will test this as soon as I can.
One thing that I saw while investigating:
In the "data collection -> task sessions", we have the "Object properties data collection".
I scheduled this so it runs every 2 hours.
My server that I mentioned (VBR) is also listed as success in the data collection task. But in the "Overview" it's still as "Unhealthy" (probably because the port is not open).
"Data collection task 'MY-VBR-SERVER' has finished with Success." is the message but of course it has not collected any data.
Is this maybe a bug? I think in my case, it should tell me that the data collection did not succeed. Or is this not the data collection that is happening over the port 2805?
Timo

Re: VeeamOne - VBR network port requirements
Hello Timo,
Data Collection > Task Sessions it is a different collection. It is some internal process that moves data from "monitor" database, to "reporter" database. It does as well some other tasks like collecting new tags from hypervisors, and in general metadata, it is not the real data-collection that you can see in Overview "Healthy/Unhealthy"
The required ports from VBR will be updated soon, but from VBR to VONE we require 2805 indeed.
Keep us posted.
