[XCPBETA] Workload is not supported by the current license

Post by Noritaka971 »

Hi,
I'm trying the Veeam XCP backup plugin in a lab infrastructure. Whether I'm using my Rental license or the license provided with the beta ISO, I get the same error message when launching the backup job:
"Failed to perform backup: Workload is not supported by the current license."
Is there a specific workload to provision in the license?

Thank you for the feedback.

Could it be that you deployed beta into an existing database? Might happen if you, for example, use a default database name and had another version of Veeam Backup & Replication installed before.

DB upgrade is not supported in beta, beta requires a fresh database

You can try creating a new database using Veeam Database Connection Utility -- https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/backu ... ml?ver=120
On the "Connection Settings" step enter another DB name (for example, "VeeamBackup_Xen_beta") -> Next -> Next -> Finish

It should start Veeam Backup & Replication on a fresh database

10 VM (Windows, Debian, Suse) backup - OK
backup copy to Veeam Cloud Connect Provider - OK

Next Step :
- restore file level
- restore entire VM
- Instant recovery full process
- Backup VM from VMWARE and restore it to XCP (i know, it's not supported yet... )
