Post v8 upgrade increase in processed SharePoint sites

Post by sumeet »

Hi All,

I will have to review my posts, but with v5 -> v6 upgrade, it was observed that the number of sharepoint sites processed had reduced.
The count went down.

And now, the opposite has happened with v7 -> v8 upgrade.

For one of my clients, the difference is 2200 sites after upgrade to v8. And due to this, the first backup run for sharepoint job post upgrade is lot slower.
Has this difference in count been discussed? If yes, can someone point me to the thread, which explains what is the difference in VBM365 that had caused the sites to get skipped with v6 and now they are back after v8 upgarde.

Hi Sumeet,

It's best to reach out to our customer support team for further investigation. Processing 2,200 more sites in v8 than in v7 with the exact same job configuration seems unexpected and should be reviewed.

Can it be those sites that were previously skipped with "Cannot change web part export mode to ‘All’, because custom scripting is disabled"? I think I read somewhere that these can now be backed up.
