In the VBR job table, unmanaged plugin jobs show the status of their last run (e.g. "Success"). Policies for managed plugins don't. Though, both job types show how long the last run dates back. Would be nice to have the "Status" for the managed jobs as well. Currently the column is empty here.
Thanks,
Mike

Re: Show "Status" in job table - also for managed job policies
Hi Mike,
I'm not sure that what you are seeing is the correct behavior. An application policy operates in continuous mode, as it orchestrates multiple different standalone jobs. The policy must intercept certain specific informational events from the standalone sessions to provide better reporting. Normally, there are three main statuses:
1. Idle – The policy is waiting for the next scheduled run.
2. Working – The policy is running and processing data.
3. Stopped – The policy is disabled.
However, the "Last Result" field remains empty while the policy is in Idle or Working states, its value is refreshed only if the policy is stopped. I assume you are referring to this field in your post, and not to the Status field. If so, this architectural change to eliminate continuous mode is on the roadmap and display "Last Result", but I do not have an ETA. By the way, you can use the HTML reports that are sent according to the policy configuration settings, which contain information about each actual backup run.
Thanks!
