Veeam One Consolidated Report
Hello All. Sorry for what is likely a basic question. We have VBR running for several VM's as well as VBO 365 on prem as well backing up and all is well. However, we would like to have a *single* report from Veeam One that simply shows the success of failure summary of all jobs on VBR and VBO. I checked out some of the reports and it seems like we can not have one report and it needs to be (2) separate reports. That would be ok. Also which report template would be best to show a simple summary of success or failure of nightly jobs.?
Thanks for any help.
Dave

Re: Veeam One Consolidated Report
Hello Dave,
You may combine both reports in one by using the Report Builder. Give it a try.
For the second question try the Job History or Workload Protection History
Please let us know if it works for you.
Thanks

Re: Veeam One Consolidated Report
Hello...Quick followup to this question. Is there any way to generate a Veeam One report for SureBackup jobs? I read somewhere where "protected vms" would work but that does not seem to show the results of a FureBackup job.
Thanks again

Re: Veeam One Consolidated Report
Hello All...I upgraded to Veeam One 13 to see if it provides more flexibility as far as reporting. It is a little better but we still can not generate a simple report (1 or 2 pager) with job status. The latest one seems close, but it has a top page called "Report" parameters for each consolidated report, and it does not appear that can be surpressed (I think we could with 12.3). Also, another page simply has a pie chart on the center of the page. So we need to scroll through 6-7 pages just to see backup job status.
Is there any other way to modify the reports to simplify the reports generated? Again, just a simple report that shows job status that we can look at quickly to determine if anything is wrong. Almost similar to the emailed notification reports from the individual jobs but consolidated into one report.
I have tried everything I could think of here. Perhaps I should sign up with backup radar or something like that?
Thanks for any info.

Re: Veeam One Consolidated Report
Hello Dave,
Thank you for your feedback. The jump from Microsoft SSRS to our own native technology was huge and some things were missed, for example the charts starting on different pages we are planning to resolve after v13.0.1 with a patch, among other customization options.
What can you do today
Using Report Builder you can get a very simple PDF like this:

In order to do that, use Latest Job Status report with your custom time period, mine was last 24 hours. Then use Report Builder and load that report (remove everything except for the table, this deletes as well the parameters if you like, you have full control), like here:

Also under Report Data hide those additional tables if you do not need them, although if you want the reason why it failed you have the Details on those sections. If there are too many columns, remember you can go to the saved report and hide as many as you want.
If you keep the charts, as mentioned, we have a bug and the data will start in page number 2 for now, still very comprehensive (after the scroll)

Additional views
You can also produce your own Dashboard with a few interesting widgets, and schedule the dashboard, which will send you a PNG similar to this:

Final trick
You mentioned Backup Radar, but also you can use Grafana for free and hook it up to Veeam ONE API easily, look how it looks.
In any case, please bear in mind that if you put some time on making the report looking great (filtering, columns, grouping, etc.) with a period of time that changes like last X hours/days; then you do the same with a few saved reports, go to Report Builder and do the final customization (if required), you can always publish these Reports, which now will act like a "dashboard" and every time you hit it, it will have up to date information:

No login required, just ready to view:

Ton of options, we will address those bugs about white space soon and some others. Give this a try and let us know please.

Re: Veeam One Consolidated Report
Thank you very much for the detailed response. It almost worked but it appears we ran into a bug. If I use the report builder to create one specific report where I want to hide everything except the tables it works great...It would be perfect for what we are looking for. But the problem is we want to consolidate the reports from VBR and VBO into one report. And if we use the report builder for that which the changes under "summary" that you indicate and attach the (2) reports it does not save the summarize information properly. The report looks great with only the tables selected but when I click Save and go back to the report the Summary is checked with the sub category of Report Parameters and charts is selected with Job Statuses. It does not save the summary setting for tables only when I combine (2) reports.
It is almost what we need
Thanks again

Re: Veeam One Consolidated Report
Hello,
Thank you so much for your time reviewing it. It looks like a bug yes, would you mind creating a bug so we can take a look, and most important we can offer you a hotfix for it?
Please share the case number so I can expedite it a bit.
Thank you again

Re: Veeam One Consolidated Report
Thanks...We would like to explore the Grafana route. I suspect we need to spin up a Linux VM to make that happen? Do you have instructions for that? Is there a specific distro you require?
Thanks again.,

Re: Veeam One Consolidated Report
Hello,
You can use Windows, Linux, docker, or their own cloud version. You need as well InfluxDB v2, which is the same, win/lin/docker/cloud. There are many tutorials on how to install these.
The script I attached is on bash shell, which means you will need some Linux to run it, or you can convert it to powershell.
Keep us posted with that, also what is the case number please, so we can improve the report?
