1) I would like an improvement so that the permission information for folders and files taken during a VBR backup of unstructured data can be restored without the permissions at the time of backup being changed.
Currently, when restoring to storage with a different ACL structure than at the time of backup, or when restoring to a different protocol version (from NFSver3 to NFSver4), the permission information for folders and files taken during backup is changed.
2) I would like to be able to specify the file sharing protocol version when backing up or restoring VBR unstructured data.

Re: Request for improvement of "Permissions when restoring file sharing area"
Hi SS2025,
1.) It’s expected that we cannot restore the exact original permissions across different protocols. NFS v3 / v4.1 do use different permission models as far as I know.
2.) We should always use the highest NFS version supported by the target file server. I’ll double-check this with our QA team and see if there’s a way to control the NFS protocol used by the backup server for backup and restore operations.
Best,
Fabian
