Linux Veeam Agent : Cannot find a compatible file system for storing snapshot data

Post by Glasofruix »

Hello,

I'm a bit at loss here so if anyone could shine a light on what i am doing wrong. So i've got a linux machine, bare metal, using oracle linux 8.2. I've successfully integrated it to my VBR instance and deployed the agent, i believe the dependencies are all set up correctly. When i attempt to back it up though i get a snapshot creation error: "Cannot find a compatible file system for storing snapshot data."
I've got enough space on the PC in the /home directory. It has a 500gb ssd drive but about 30gb are used.

I've tried redirecting snapshots through /etc/veeam/veeam.ini and location=/home, but it doesn't seem to find the /home directory. I've plugged in a USB drive, formatted it to ext4 and mouted to /mnt/test directory but location=/mnt/test doesn't work either.

Maybe i'm missing something, if anyone has an idea it would be much appreciated.
