I'm trying to find the answer to this question, is VBR as a windows installed server not getting an update to v13? I cannot locate it if there is one, will it come out in the future if so?
Can someone point me to documentation for the proper upgrade path for those of us that are running 12.3 of VBR on windows? I've tried to keep up with the appliance adn wanting to follow best practices rather than just installing the appliance and sorting it out. Is it suggested to install the appliance on baremetal or run it as a VM?

Re: Veeam appliance VS standalone VBR
We continue to provide installable software for Microsoft Windows. And as a Veeam partner you have the V13 RTM bits already, check your email for the corresponding communication from Veeam from a couple of days ago.
Bare metal installation of the software appliance provides for a better security because if you run software appliance in a VM, you have your hypervisor and its entire management stack as an added attack surface.
