[V13] Bond and VLAN configuration

Post by michawel »

Hi,
as I understand in VHR and Veeam Appliance 13 (latest build) using Bonds and VLANs are fully supported. Basic principle we would like to configure is built on three interfaces on bond in switch-unassited mode (ALB, mode 6). According docs no issues expected. However first tests showing that we are not able to build fully working setup with three tagged VLANs on the top of the bond. Each newly created VLAN override configuration and stays on the top (so other vlans not pinging and communicating). Normally I will in NMTui stop propagating
default gateway here this does not work. Standard result of ip route show seems to be pretty normal - two interfaces with two assigned gateways. However according all tests this does not looking as pure routing problem. On switch ports we have multiple vlans configured as trunk ports - no additional special configuration found - (each vlan configured on the top of bond works but not together).

I am currently not asking about trouble itself - this will be done by techsupport however about the principle itself. Same issue exists on VHR and VBA. (two different servers)

Is this multi-iface scenario supported on the top of Bond? First VLAN will be for management purpose, second for resource backup and third for second locality where data domain exists. According my knowledge and articles (and FAQ) all around this is fully supported. But it does not work as expected. :(
best regards Michal

Hi,

This sounds like an unexpected behaviour to me.
What's your build # btw? If it's 13.0.1.180, then kindly share your support case ID.

Thanks!
