Good morning,
I have a three-node Nutanix cluster and I’m using Veeam (running as a virtual appliance) on this infrastructure to back up the virtual machines.
I’ve been provided with a NetApp FAS 2820 to use as a backup repository.
I would like to know:
what are the advantages of using it as a repository;
how it can integrate with Veeam;
and whether it’s possible to configure immutable backups on this solution.
Thank you.

Re: netapp FAS 2820
Hi @mporliod at the moment ONTAP volumes are not immutable within Veeam. We are currently working with NetApp to provide immutability for backups with ONTAP volumes via the USAPI plugin. You can reach out to your NetApp AE or TPM for more details on availability. The other option you can try right now is to present ONTAP iSCSI LUNs to a Veeam supported hardened repository OS. You can then get immutable backups see link for more details. https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/backu ... ml?ver=120. I hope this helps.
