[Feature Request] Support for using include directive in postgresql.conf
Postgres has the directive 'include' to include other files with configuration.
We've confirmed with support that if you add the 'include' directive to a postgresql.conf, Veeam fails to read the configuration file and you will see the following in the VeeamPostgres.log-file:
WARN|Failed to read PostgreSql configuration from file "/var/opt/gitlab/postgresql/data/postgresql.conf".
It would be good if Veeam could support opening the include files and adding the configuration in these to the process.
We have tested this on multiple RHEL 8.7 and RHEL 9 servers.

Re: [Feature Request] Support for using include directive in postgresql.conf
Hello,
and welcome to the forums.
Can you please post the support case number? That sounds more like a bug than a feature request.
And just to be clear: we talk about Veeam Agent for Linux and not VMware / Hyper-V Linux VMs with application aware image processing?
Best regards,
Hannes

Hello,
I tested with Backup & Replication V12 and Veeam Agent for Linux V6 and it works fine in both cases. If anyone else sees issues, please check with support.
Best regards,
Hannes

Re: [Feature Request] Support for using include directive in postgresql.conf
Hello,
today we did a restore of a Postgresql 16 instance and after the restore the include was commented out - should this still happen? Why does that happen at all (V12.3)?

Re: [Feature Request] Support for using include directive in postgresql.conf
I have not yet opened a case as i was not sure if its "supported" (documentation states that includes are not) - but then i found this thread...
Edit: i just saw this is the Agent forum - it happened for B&R with a snapshot backup. But explorer should still be the same...
