SQL Plugin: BUFFERCOUNT = 4 Failed to perform backup

Post by Dmont »

We've recently started to use the Veeam SQL Plugin to backup our SQL databases. We've had a few issues that have been resolved by this forum plus Veeam support and hope you can help again.

One of our Veeam database backups is failing with the below error:

18/11/2025 16:32:36 :: Failed to backup database DBName_deleted. Hi David,

An I/O error usually indicates a problem reading data blocks from the filesystem or disk, which isn’t something that can be resolved through the forum.
Since our RnD Forum isn’t technical support, please share your case number as requested by our forum policy that was displayed when you clicked New Topic.

Thank you for complying with our forum policy,
Fabian
