Is there any roadmap from Veeam to integrate the Blksnap/veeamsnap Module in the standard Linux Kernel?
We have seen the following:
https://github.com/veeam/blksnap/blob/m ... -kernel.md
What's the Status from Veeam on this Project?
Are there any timelines when this should be finished ?
It looks as if this is "sponsored" and maintained by "Veeam Software Group GmbH"

Re: Intergration of Blksnap module in Linux Kernel (integration in upstream kernel)
That has always been the ultimate goal, and the reason why we've spent so much Dev and QA resources developing this module. But Veeam cannot just include this into upstream as you say, ultimately it is up to maintainers - and we do need a wider community support to convince them to do this. Or at least to keep their interest going.

Re: Intergration of Blksnap module in Linux Kernel (integration in upstream kernel)
I am wondering what the status of this effort is. The last blksnap submission (v7) on patchwork.kernel.org was almost 2 years ago (February 2024), but that version triggered no visible response from the kernel maintainers. Also blksnap is not included in the Linux kernel 6.18 release candidate.

Basically we gave up trying to break through this "nobody cares" wall. After so many years and so much Veeam resources spent, enough is enough.
