I did a forum search and wasn't able to find a topic covering this problem, but I've been trying for the past few days to install V13 on three different freshly installed Server 2025 machines, and each time setup fails. When I open the log files, all it shows is: "Failed to install Microsoft SQL Server 2017 Express Advance".
I tried manually installing SQL Server, but am still getting the same error message. Any ideas what could be going wrong?
Well, after hours of trial and error it turns out that the installation will fail if the setup files are located on a network. The setup has to be run from a local drive for the installation to work.
Hope this helps anyone else splitting their head in two trying to figure out this error!
