Localized versions of Windows Server Hyper-V

Hello,

I was surprised that Veeam Backup&Réplication V6 is not compatible with Localized versions of Hyper-V.
Yes, it's written in the release note :
"Localized versions of Windows Server Hyper-V and Hyper-V servers with non-English locales are not supported."
but I have not read the warning elsewhere.

We have done our first installation, virtual machines already running on localized versions and it does not work very well :

-Backup Works.
-Restore of .VHD work but VM registration fail.
-Replication fail when VM registration.

The customer doesn't wish to migrate US version.

When the compatibility with Localized versions is scheduled ?

Nicolas, as far as I know, there are no plans to fully support localized versions in close future. But according to our QA, one of the issues causing VM registration failure was already discovered and fixed and most likely will be addressed in one of the following product updates. Though this does not secure you from encountering some other issues with localized OS versions as VBR was not tested against them. Thanks.

With Version 6.1, Veeam work on localized Version of Hyper-V.

I tested successfully (On a French Hyper-V) :
-Backup and restore
-Replication, Failover avec Failback
-Instant recovery (Good ).
