Hi,
We have just purchased a new physical server with local storage to replace our old Veeam hardened repository V1
Our Windows VBR server is running Veeam version 12.3 and we were thinking about waiting a little while before upgrading to V13.
However, there does not seem any point in installing a new V2 VHR now that the VHR V13 has been released.
Is a new install VHR V13 server compatible with a Windows VBR server 12.3?
Can I add a new V13 VHR to my current configuration in order to migrate my backups from V1 VHR to V13 VHR before upgrading to Window VBR V13?
Many Thanks

Re: Adding VHR V13 to Windows VBR V12
Hi, it's a No/No. VBR V12 has no idea what is V13 VIA and how to work with it.
The other way around works, that is you CAN add managed hardened repository V2 into VBR V13.
You can also in-place upgrade it to V13 VIA-based hardened repository later.
Thanks

Re: Adding VHR V13 to Windows VBR V12
Thank you for your quick reply
I will install the new server as a V2 VHR and add it to my VBR V12 server. I will then upgrade it to V13 VHR at a later date.
Regards
