I’m setting up a new Veeam Backup & Replication v13 environment and running into an issue with Scale Computing.
- Fresh install of VBR 13 (license not applied yet, still in testing)
- Using the Veeam Virtual Appliance
- Connected to a Scale Computing HyperCore node
- Veeam successfully deployed a worker VM with 6 VLANs, and the worker test completes successfully
When I run a backup job:
- All objects are queued for processing
- Veeam successfully detects the size of the VMs
- The job then sits at “Waiting for available workers”
I can see the worker VM start up and receive IP addresses, but after about 2 minutes the job fails with:
<servername>: No available worker was found.
So far I’ve tried:
- Removing and re-adding the Scale Computing node
- Deleting and recreating the backup job
I’ve seen a few similar threads related to Proxmox, but nothing that clearly applies to Scale HyperCore or points to a fix.
Has anyone run into this with Scale + Veeam v13, or have suggestions on what to check next?

@toddr279 definitely not something we've seen to this point. Best bet is to proceed with opening a case with tech support
