Merge imported backups?

Post by Patchwork7824 »

Hello everyone,
I did move my Veeam Backup and Replication-Server to another hardware. I did copy the existing backups to a NAS before.

On the new installation I mounted the NAS again and ran a backup import. Now I can see the backups from the NAS as "Disk (Imported)". There are about 11 backups for several VMs available on the nas.

I do run the main backup on the server itself (local disk). Is there any way to copy the backups from the NAS to the local disk and merge them together? (Since they are backups from the same NAS). So I have all my 11 (old) backups + the newer backups on local disk available for restoring?

(I hope it is clear what I am trying to achieve here...)

Hi Patchwork7824,

Just to confirm, main goal is just to have all of the backups on the server local disk instead of the Proxmox Backups being on the NAS?

If so, you can do a Copy Backup to create a copy on the local disk, then delete the original backups from the NAS.
