Windows Agents on the latest version are creating double immutable backups instead of a single one

Since upgrading to the latest version of Veeam, we have noticed abnormal behavior across multiple tenants using Veeam Agent for Windows.
Instead of generating a single immutable backup (as was the case previously), the agents are now creating two immutable backup copies during each backup cycle.

Policy is configured to create a synthetic full on Saturday. But also create a new one on Sunday.

This is occurring in different environments and across multiple Windows operating systems, but all of them are running the same latest agent version.
The issue is consistently reproducible and does not appear to be linked to individual tenant configuration.

Questions:

Is this a known issue in the latest version?

Is there any hotfix, workaround, or temporary recommendation while this behavior is being evaluated?

Not just one customer affected , several partners in diferent locations reported the same behaivor.

All customer got installed the last agent version.

We tested to create a brand new policy and happens again.

I'm not aware of this issue, but we had a similar report that was closed due to no response of the customer.
Right now it’s best to continue working with support, as we can’t confirm or resolve the issue through the forum.
Your case has already been escalated to the next tier.
