Hyper-V with S2D Redirected Mode
Hey guys,
i have a strange behavior with my installation. I´m using veeam version 12.3.2 on a physical Server with a 2 node Hyper-V Cluster with storage spaces direct.
I added the cluster and the single nodes to the veeam inventory to backup the vms on the cluster and it works fine.
One issue I noticed is that the volumes of the cluster are now in redirected mode and not going back to normal.
Did i make a mistake there?

Re: Hyper-V with S2D Redirected Mode
Which Hyper-V version is it?
Redirect Mode is usually involved during backup in older Hyper-V versions.
What do you mean that you have added the cluster and both nodes? Do you mean you have ran through the wizard 3 times?

Did he select for backup the VMs through the failover cluster? In the job I think you can see it when you click on the individual VMs. Then on the right you should see which server or IP was choosen for processing.

Hi sorry for my late response,
he did select the failovercluster object for the backup job.
I see this in 3 different clusters, all windows server 2025

Re: Hyper-V with S2D Redirected Mode
It is a bit hard to diagnose. So I can only guess here by the most common things. Maybe you ran into this one, as you shared that redirect mode is still happening after backup ? https://community.spiceworks.com/t/plea ... san/774118
Anyway if you think that this is an issue by our product or caused by our product, I suggest to open a support case with Veeam and upload logs so that our support team can have a look in more details.
