Broadcom issue : Replication from a VMware environment to another hypervisor using Veeam

Considering migration from a VMware environment to another cloud environment such as OCI.
Currently, I know the method using restore, but replication often results in shorter downtime, so I’m wondering if replication using Veeam is possible.
My current understanding is that this functionality is not available, but will it become possible in the future?

It's extremely unlikely.

Technically it's possible as we do support cross-hypervisor restores today.
