Mailboxes blocked by Microsoft Backup - Case # 07803877

I am working now a long time (nearly 5 months) with support on this case and its very frustrating, every step leads to another problem, which must be clarified by Support with R&D and we have some mailboxes and also older SharePoint sites which are not removed from our environment and for SharePoint, took a lot of space.

Mailboxes: The mailboxes were never part of Veeam Express (and we never had MS Backup active), but still we can't disable them, due to the error that the Mailboxes are protected by MS Backup.
SharePoint: There are several sites, which should already be removed from SharePoint trash (deleted longer than 90 days) ago and are also held due to MS Backup.

I got the scripts from https://github.com/isxaker/scripts/blob ... ard_pu.ps1, but it will end with error messages or wrong URIs.
The app which is called, is the „Multi-Tenant Registration for MBS Billing“ which is not editable to set any other URIs.

So what is the correct "offboarding" for old mailboxes or SharePoint sites?

No, support asked ME to off board with the script and not that they (Veeam) will off board the PUs.

Hi, I’m not back at work until tomorrow so I’ve not reviewed the case notes yet but our KB is our default response for this. I can’t comment on why these other scripts are being discussed without reviewing your case but I’ll ask the question tomorrow. Have you used the “talk to a manager” option in our support portal? If you ever feel a case needs escalating you can use this to trigger a review.
