My 3 Node VME cluster backups worked flawlessly. After adding two new VME Hosts to the existing Cluster and moving VMs to those Nodes, those VMs' failed to backup. I tried rescanning the Cluster in Veeam, rebooting Veeam, setting up a new backup job for VMs on that specific Host with a worker on that host, all to no avail.
I moved the VMs back to one of the original hosts, and the backup was successful.
How do you force Veeam to see the new nodes like it does the originals?
BUM365 : Failed to perform backup: Failed to connect to the host [localhost] using the TCP protocol (port [51086]). nbd_connect_tcp: connect: localhost:51086: could not connect to remote host: Connection refused. -1 (0:00:18)
For this VM - it is on the same network as the VME Manager, Veeam B&R, VME Hosts, and Veeam-Workers (no firewalls in between)
Here is a small snip of what may be the issue from that VMs backup log,

The IP above is my new VME Host, where the VM being backed up is running.
Have Merry Christmas! -

Re: [BETA] [HPE] VM Backups fail on new Nodes added to Cluster
Seems to be working now. Last night's backup failed again for any VMs on the two new hosts. I attempted rescans on VME cluster, and Manager. I then tried to add a new VME Server, twice. The first time I tried it, the licensing Service tried to reach out and failed. The second time, the wizard opened, but I canceled out of it. I then rescanned the Cluster and Manager. I then went to retry the failed job, which ran successfully on the VMs of the new Hosts. This may be a licensing service issue, trying to call home and failing. idk...
I would like to see under Inventory in the HPE Morpheus VM Essentials Section, the Hosts listed under the respective Clusters / Manager as you do in vCenter, with the ability to rescan, refresh, add respective credentials, etc.
Otherwise Backups and Restores are working great in this Beta release for HPE VME. Thanks!
