Hello,
Can SAP HANA backups be hosted on a Dell Data Domain repository with immutability (Retention Lock)?
Is this a working and supported configuration?
Thanks in advance.

Hello,
yes, data domain retention lock is supported for database plugins. Did you see any issues?
Best regards
Hannes

Re: SAP HANA backups on Data Domain with immutability
Hello Hannes, sorry for the late reply.
The issue I’m seeing is with the deletion of expired backups. It seems the plugin is unable to remove them. Could this be an issue on the SAP side (for example, the configuration in Cockpit)?

Re: SAP HANA backups on Data Domain with immutability
Hello,
no worries, I hope you enjoyed your days off.
If I need to guess, then the backup retention is lower than the immutability time (maybe something that was configured on DataDomain side instead of controlled by Veeam). Everything beyond that needs to be investigated by support. Please post the case number for reference.
Best regards
Hannes
