[FEATURE REQUEST - OFFLOAD JOBS FAILED]

Post by CarlosEsteves »

Hello,

Another feature request:

If we have a Offload job running and the backup windows configured in the SOBR is reached, the job terminate with Failure , but it is not real failure.

8:00:09 PM Job was stopped due to backup window setting
"

If you have a configuration related to the time that the offload can run, this is not failure, it is just a warning message

Hi Carlos,

Just to confirm, your request is that jobs stopped due to backup window produce a warning instead of error?

Error means that the task could not complete to a blocking issue, so to me the backup window stopping a job is consistent with that definition, even if the backup window is an 'expected' blocking issue; it makes sense to report on this especially if the offload is expected to complete during the backup window

Regardless, can you confirm this is what you're discussing?

Hello,

yes, if we set the window and the offload can´t complete for me it is not an error, it is a previous configuration agreement. Next run must continue where it´s stopped, right ?
