NAS Backup fails after upgrade to VBR 13.0.1.1071 – Proxy agent has not been assigned an ID

After upgrading Veeam Backup & Replication to version 13.0.1.1071, we started facing issues with a NAS Backup job (unstructured data).

Error:

Failed : Processing \\serverfs\Diretorios
Error: Agent: Failed to process method {MessageChannel.EstablishConnectionByRoles}:
Proxy agent has not been assigned an ID by the master agent


Environment details:

NAS Backup (SMB)

Backup Proxy: Veeam Backup Server itself (VBR acting as proxy)

Affected job: File Share backup

Actions already performed:

Rescan of the NAS backup proxy agent

Verified proxy assignment and availability

Restarted Veeam services on the VBR server

Checked repository and proxy status (healthy)

Confirmed that other backup jobs are running successfully

The issue started only after the upgrade to 13.0.1.1071.
All other jobs are running fine; the problem is isolated to the NAS backup job.

We are currently working with Veeam Support.
