Hello,
Is the current KB Article up to date?
https://www.veeam.com/kb4325
When installing V13 on Windows it will deploy PostgreSQL 17. (https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/vbr/u ... tml?ver=13)
But Veeam 365 is currently not supporting PostgreSQL 17 (https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/vbo36 ... html?ver=8)
Thanks in Advance!

Re: Shared Server Compatibility
Hi Florian,
Yes, the article is up to date, as it’s about Veeam Explorers.
Regarding PostgreSQL — you can run multiple PostgreSQL instances on the same machine, as this is fully supported by PostgreSQL.
PostgreSQL v15 or v16 for Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365 and one instance with PostgreSQL v17 for Veeam Backup & Replication.
Each instance uses a different port: the first one typically uses 5432, and the second 5433.
You can verify the correct PostgreSQL port for the instance in the postgresql.conf file, located in the data folder of your PostgreSQL server: C:\Program Files\PostgreSQL\<version>\data\postgresql.conf
May I ask for the use case to have both products on the same system? Is it for offering VB365 Recovery through Cloud Connect?
Otherwise I recommend strongly against deploying both products on the same machine.
Best regards,
Fabian

Re: Shared Server Compatibility
Hi Fabian,
thank's for clarification!
It's just for some specific small customers running Veeam locally and in a very small deployment with around 5 VMs and M365.
Some colleagues were running into issues, when deploying V13 and after that Veeam 365 on same machine. Errors showing up referring to https://www.veeam.com/kb4638. But persist, as the reason was not KB4638 but the non-matching PGSQL Instance.

Re: Shared Server Compatibility
Hi Florian,
I suggest opening a support case, as we can’t troubleshoot such issues here.
Perhaps our VDC for Microsoft 365 offering would be a good fit for this smaller customer — with VDC, they don’t need to manage their own infrastructure.
We also provide an option for our Service Provider Partners to offer and manage the VDC service directly for their customers: Help Center.
Alternatively, as a Service Provider, you can deliver your own Microsoft 365 backup service from your datacenter using Rental licenses.
Best regards,
Fabian
