Hello,

I would like to know if it's possible to know when a user allowed to restore mail is opening mailbox of one user fromrestore portal or veeam console and reading the mail but not restore them ?

Hi matteu,

You can use REST endpoints to configure audit notifications, however, it doesn't provide the information if an action has been performed via the console or via the Portal.

Support confirmed me it s not possible.
Allow someone to restore mail allow them to read all the mail on the scope they are allowed and no one can know what he read :/
Because you have full access of all allowed mailboxes and can open each mail and never restore one.
From a security perspective, I think this could maybe be improved.

We have a truly comprehensive Restore Operator Activity for VB365 in Veeam ONE, you can understand if the restore was triggered from the Restore Operator Portal, or from the Explorer, as the Restore Operator Column has different values, same as the Initiator which usually includes IP, so as an example "I opened an email, just view, but in order to do that I need to list some folders right?
All of that is reflected on VeeamONE report:
