Compression and Dedup
I'm testing backing up file shares directly to object storage - azure. It doesn't show that any compression or deduplication is occurring. I have the Compression settings set to Optimal. Read and Transferred are always the same number (1x). Is this by design?

Re: Compression and Dedup
Hello Collin,
A very low deduplication ratio is expected, but compression depends entirely on the data type. As a test, try backing up a folder with identical files — you will notice that the resulting backup will be several times smaller than the raw data size. Thank you!
