Public IP address range - Azure file shares/resources

Post by liamgrant »

In Azure you can configure most resources to have no public network access and instead use private endpoints or whitelist specific IP addresses to provide access to the file shares.

I have been told to raise a request for a feature here by veeam support.

"At this stage we dont have a public IP address range which can be added for Veeam to see the file shares for backing them up. However, if you would like to have it considered for future releases, please submit a feature request via our R&D Forums: https://forums.veeam.com/. By posting your feature request on the R&D Forums, you will be able to fast-track your request and directly converse with our R&D Team and Product Managers, who are actively involved in developing and implementing new features and functionality within the Veeam ecosystem. Our R&D Team and Product Managers are always looking for ways to improve our software and will be happy to assist with the request."

Hi Liam,

We are working on private mode support for Azure File shares and this should resolve the issue. I will post an update here when it is available.
