Running Veeam Agent Backup job and Universal CDP policy simultaneously on same machine

Hi,

Is it possible to install the Universal CDP agent and driver on a machine that is already being backed up with Veeam Agent for Windows and add it to a CDP policy?

The user guide states that backup jobs and backup policies cannot be added to both, but it does not specify this for CDP policies.

I couldn't find any specific information about this on Before You Begin or Considerations and Limitations.

Please let me know if there are any points to be aware of when configuring agent backup and CDP policies on the same machine.

Hi Yukinobu,

“Agent backup policies” are a different policy type than “CDP policies”.
Let me double-check whether running Veeam Agent and CDP Universal in parallel is supported.

We don’t have any restrictions. You can install both the backup agent and the replication agent on the same machine, add that machine to both a backup job and a replication job, and run them simultaneously without any issues. Thanks!
