cannot create s3 compatible account with v8.3 in gui
Using the latest 8.3.0.2201 P20251212 build.
Tried adding a cloud credentials today for a s3 compatible account, but the account created shows as amazon, not compatible.
Also tried the same on an older installation that was upgraded to v8.3, same result.
If I use Add-VBOAmazonS3CompatibleAccount in powershell it works as expected, and also shows in the GUI as s3 compatible.
Is this a known bug? Anyone else seen this behaviour with v8.3?
update:
if I add a repository, select object repository, s3 compatible and THEN select add account it does create a s3 compatible account?!?

Bug confirmed and should be fixed with the next product update.

Yes it has been reported. I've been using a hotfix for this issue for a while now.

The hotfix I’m using was originally provided to me under Case #07906605 — Verified GUI Bug in 8.2.2202.
If you’re running a different build (for example 8.3), the hotfix would need to be recompiled by RnD specifically for that version. These fixes are build-specific and generally will not apply cleanly across versions.
I would recommend opening a support case and referencing the case number above. Support can coordinate with RnD to determine whether an updated hotfix is available for your exact build.
