Feature Request: Oracle Plug-In repository archiving.

Post by Dberto » 1 person likes this post

Hi,

According to Case #07958291 - Arquivamento repositório de Oracle Plug-In
An RMAN plugin backup does not use a GFS tag so it cannot be moved to the Archive tier.
I want the ability to move my backup files to archive tier, but unfortunately via Veeam Plugin it is not possible.

Thank you for your time and attention.

Hi Petr,
Thanks the reply.
I just want to know what guarantee is there that this feature will be implemented in Veeam? The customer asked for an update on the status of the process.

Hi Daniel,

It's very difficult to say when it will be available because we prioritize features based on demand, which is not very high for the Archive Tier when it comes to application plug-in backups. Furthermore, we need to conduct technical research, which also takes time. Perhaps you could consider using the Capacity Tier as a workaround?

Thanks!
