proxmox job storage setting has no encryption option?
As stated. proxmox job storage setting has no encryption option?
Normally you can add an encryption password for (remote) storage of a backup job.. Or have I missed it.

Hello,
For Proxmox V1, encryption is controlled in the repository access settings and is set per repository, rather than per job.

[MERGED] Request: Job level Encryption
Hi Veeam R&D Team,
I am currently implementing the new Proxmox VE integration and was looking to leverage Veeam Vault as our primary off-site storage target. However, I’ve hit a significant blocker:
The Issue: Currently, the Veeam Proxmox backup job does not have an option to enable encryption at the job level. Because encryption is a mandatory requirement for Veeam Vault and most Cloud Connect repositories, I am unable to point my Proxmox backup jobs directly to the cloud.
Requested Change: Please add native AES-256 encryption support within the primary Proxmox Backup Job settings (similar to VMware/Hyper-V jobs). This would allow Proxmox users to:
Backup directly to Veeam Vault.
Meet compliance requirements for data-at-rest in the cloud.
Streamline the transition for VMware refugees moving to Proxmox.
I have already discussed this with Veeam Support (Case #07985542), and they confirmed this is a current limitation and suggested I reach out here.
Thank you for the great work on the Proxmox plugin so far—encryption is the "missing link" for us to fully commit our production workloads to this integration.

Hi Ray, welcome to the forums.
Support is correct, currently not possible, but we are aware of the request.

Hi Ray,
"Job level encryption" is not mandatory for Proxmox and VDC Vault as backup repository. You can also use "repository-level encryption".
Have you tried it?
Best regards,
Fabian
