are there any news for new updates?

i am specifically interested in the migration wizard for s3 to jetdb,1:1 teams chat backup and full featured restore portal.

8.3 is rock solid for us but its time for new features

from time to time, we have to transfer vb365 data to our customers. that is way easier in jetdb format. and you are able to mount the repository without adding the organization. in our case, the organizations are already gone forever.

However, about the requested features. Not sure if somebody told you this because migration from S3 to JetDB is not on our radar to be honest.

The expectation is it will arrive end of March. But considering the changes we are doing (I assume you know about the one app registration only for SharePoint Online...) we need to do a lot of additional QA so no promise on that date

There is no v9 yet. We will release v8.4 next.

I assume your assumption comes from KB4837, where we mention in an example that you can’t revert from "v9 to v8", right? I’ll ask the KB team to change it to "v8 to v7".

I have been getting a lot of hotfixes from the RnD team since I began migrating of JetDB to S3 back in January 2025, due to errors/failures and missing indexes in the cache DB architecture in the v8 version.
I have asked your support on whether or not these hotfixes will be part of the upcoming GA, please see the support ticket:

Until now, I have had to use the following path and hotfixes to ensure a proper migration from JetDB to OSR.

VBO: Upgrade the tenant to v8.1.2.180 P20250619
- SharePoint migration fails - Hotfix: v8.1.2.180 P20250619 - Value cannot be null (Parameter 'buffer') NATS - 1053376_b5dd3b073b
- SharePoint migration fails - Hotfix: v8.1.2.2755 P20250808 - SharePoint-Teams data not moving - 1073414_ca50aaf577
VBO: Upgrade the tenant to v8.3.0.2201 P20251218
- SharePoint migration fails - Hotfix: v8.3.0.2201 P20251218 - An item with the same key has already been added - 1212011_392bd4413d

The support team has told me that the above hotfixes will not be part of the upcoming GA, but I could get a bundle for the current GA (v8.3.0.2201) to use.
Please note that I have received 10+ hotfixes for the migration issues, and the above 4 have been the ones that worked to move JetDB to OSR.

We still have 15 single-tenant instances using JetDB, which we plan to migrate to OSR.
The process is as described above to ensure proper migration.
So the issue is more likely not wide enough to include in the GA, I assume.

Those fixes will be included in one of the next releases, but not the upcoming one. Time-wise it was challenging to add it.
