Upgrade to V6.1 issues

Post by johnmb »

Have just upgraded from V5.x to V6.1, which seemed to go without a hitch, but most jobs are now failing.
I believe the problem is with the authentication to the vcenter server, as if I go into the Infrastructure mode/Managed Servers/VMWare vSphere/vCenter Servers/<ipaddress> and do a rescan, I get an "actively refused" message.
If I then go to properties of the vCenter Server, I cannot authenticate using Domain Admin, or any other domain login.
In point of fact, I can't log into the vSphere server at all - either through VEEAM, or vSphere...
Updating VEEAM, I would have thought, should not alter anything here?
Thanks, John.

Doesn't seem like an upgrade to 6.1 could cause this (might be just a coincidence), as we do not have any code to interact with vCenter Server during the upgrade. Make sure vCenter Server service is up and running and retry the connection. If this does not help, open a support case and include support case ID in this topic.

My problem.. :?
Long story short: Went to upgrade, thought I needed the manager as well (hadn't done the original install), and one of the requirements was IIS, so installed IIS, obviously this took port 80, which vCentre requires (on the same server), and thus this killed connection to the server....
All sorted!
Thanks, John.
