Hi
Regarding this topic https://www.veeam.com/kb4793, which is already discussed in this post veeam-backup-for-microsoft-365-f47/proc ... 00804.html
I have a feature request.
I think we had similar issues in the past where microsoft did some changes and on microsoft side they needed to change something again so Veeam can back up those items.
It would be great to have an option to acknowledge or suppress known microsoft warnings and errors.
In this case: https://www.veeam.com/kb4793, we have a few jobs that are reporting errors / warnings since 10+ weeks. Every day a warning, every day an incident in our ticketing system or in some customer support mailbox.
Suppress or acknowledge those warnings would be great to see in vb365.
I know that in proxy.xml we can already do some exclusions like this here: https://www.veeam.com/kb4529, maybe this could be a start to include something like this in this xml. But of course it would be great to see somehow in the UI (and also manage all the "global" exclusions/suppressions).
Thanks
Timo

Re: FR - suppress or acknowledge known microsoft errors
Hi Timo,
Thanks for the feature request, something like this has been discussed countless times but hasn't been scheduled yet for various reasons. The main reason is that some of these notifications would always be "temporary" until it gets solved, and then those type of exclusions / suppressions would need to be removed again (as some of these are generic, they might come back and effectively mean something).
Our biggest concern is that we would start suppressing items that afterwards need to be seen and would be missed.
But obviously, I do understand your concern around the daily warnings and incidents...

Re: FR - suppress or acknowledge known microsoft errors
Hi Mike
This somehow makes sense to me. But why do we have in this case https://www.veeam.com/kb4529 an option to skip a warning?
Another approach would be to separate warning handling from emailing. So for example, if I check the console, I do see the warning, but I can configure some kind of "do not send emails about error x and error y" settings..
In my case (especially as a service provider), it is very annoying to have the same email since over 10 weeks daily in our mailbox. (or multiple times a day when the schedule is every few hours)
