[Feature Request] Improve Linux Bare Metal Restore safety by validating disk UUIDs

Post by matsusan »

[Problem]
During Linux Bare Metal Recovery, disks can be selected by device name (e.g., /dev/sda).
Because Linux may reassign device names, operators can accidentally restore to a disk with a different UUID, which may cause data loss.
The restore wizard does not show UUIDs and does not warn about mismatches.

[Request]
FR Option 1: Display UUID
Show the UUID of each disk during both backup and restore (e.g., /dev/sda (UUID=xxxx)),
so the operator can visually confirm.

FR option 2: UUID consistency check
When restoring, compare:
- Source disk UUID stored in the backup
- Target disk UUID selected for restore

If they differ, show a warning before proceeding.

[Reason]
Linux device names are not reliable identifiers.
UUID provides correct disk matching.
Showing or validating UUIDs prevents restoring to the wrong disk.
