[BETA] [HPE] Incrementl Backup : Failed to perform backup: Invalid parameter type for 'bitmaps[0]', expected: string

The following error occurs when performing an incremental backup of a VM using an HPE Alletra Block Storage HVM datastore.

2026/03/06 22:04:46 Failed : hpe-bktest-win12 : Failed to perform backup: Invalid parameter type for 'bitmaps[0]', expected: string (0:00:32)

I have confirmed that the next incremental backup does not fail after stopping and starting the VM.
What are the possible causes?

Veeam B&R 13.0.1.1071
VME plugin 13.1.0.206 (beta)
HPE Morpheus VM Essentials 8.0.13.0.1 PCBE Cluster

Hello Yumi, if you are still using the beta, you should remove probably switch to the RTM version. We don't support upgrades of the beta so you should remove the existing jobs/backups/workers and VME Manager from VBR and remove the worker and Veeam custom service plan from Morpheus VME then download and install the RTM version.

I've heard that Plugin 13.1.0.271 is supported from VME 8.0.13.0.2 onwards. (Can it be used with VME 8.0.13.0.1?)
Can I assume that this error has been fixed?

Also, I've tested Plugin 13.1.0.271 separately, and so far worker deployment fails.(This will be a separate topic.)

With the worker deployment issue resolved, I tested plugin 13.1.0.271 in another environment and unfortunately got the same error.
