Feature Request: Bring back the Backup Copy option

I understand that backups are currently protected using ZRS storage, but I would love the ability to copy backups to another region. This option previously existed and I am using it in one of my tenants, but the newer version of VDC does not support it

Coupling this with the other request about custom retention times, you should also be able to specify this per copy job

It would be ideal to treat this like you can with local VBR and a SOBR, local retention is multiple times a day for 2 weeks, then the copy job has longer term retention to satisfy compliance

Understood. We have this on our roadmap to add this to a better model. Could you maybe send me a private message with some more details as to what your copy target is?

@nielsengelen, the target would just be another Azure region, so if the servers are in East US 2, then we would love to copy to something else outside of Virginia like any of the Central or West regions
